Systems engineering is a vital discipline that spans various domains such as aerospace, automotive, and software development. This paper aims to provide a rigorous analysis of optimization techniques within systems engineering. We introduce a mathematical framework that leverages advanced calculus and linear algebra to solve complex optimization problems. Through detailed technical analysis, we strive to improve the efficiency and reliability of engineered systems by minimizing resource utilization and maximizing output quality.
Mathematical Framework
The optimization of systems within an engineering context often involves solving sets of equations that describe system behavior. Consider a system state represented by the vector x, and the objective function f(x) aimed at being minimized. The optimization problem can be expressed as:

subject to certain constraints g(x) = 0 and h(x) \leq 0. These conditions are derived from the physical or design limitations of the system. The Lagrangian function L(x, \lambda, \mu) is formulated as:
